Hard Resin Plastic

Conventional hard resin plastic lenses are half the weight of standard glass lenses and shatter proof, so they're much safer.

Polycarbonate

The safest lenses available! Stronger, thinner, and lighter than standard plastic lenses. They are great choice for people who live an active lifestyle where glasses can be easily dropped or scratched. Polycarbonate is also the lens we recommend for children's eyewear.

Hi Index

Designed for people who require strong prescriptions, Hi Index lenses are the thinnest and lightest lenses available, and avoid the "coke bottle" look of traditional lenses.

Trivex
.

Made from a newer plastic with similar characteristics of polycarbonate lenses. It is lightweight, thin, and impact-resistant and may result in better vision correction than the polycarbonate lenses in some people.

Single vision

SV lenses provide visual correction for one field of vision — either nearsightedness or farsightedness, but not both. So, if you only have trouble with seeing distance (or close-up), you probably need single-vision lenses.

Multifocal

Multifocal lenses (bifocals or trifocals) are designed to have more than one distinct optical power. The lens is split into two (or three) sections where the top part of the lens corrects distance vision and the lower part is for near vision. A visible line divides the sections.

Progressives

These lenses are a form of Bifocals or Trifocals, characterized by a gradient increasing the lens power in such a way, that there is no visible line between the lens regions, so even though it's a multifocal lens, Progressives have the aesthetic appeal of a traditional single vision lens. Progressive lenses allow the eye to transition focus smoothly between distances without visual jumps associated with traditional multifocal lenses. So, if your prescription requires a multifocal lens, call us today to speak to one of our highly trained opticians to discuss why progressive lenses may be right for you.

Transitions

If you hate taking your glasses on and off just to put on your sunglasses to go outside, then Transitions are the right lens for you. Transitions change color from clear when you're inside to dark when you're outside to protect your eyes from the sun just like sunglasses. They provide 100% protections from harmful UV-A & UV-B rays, and the best part is, you can add transitions to virtually every lens material available.

Glare Free Coating

Glare free coatings offer a little bit of everything. More comfort, better vision, reduced glare from oncoming headlights. Plus, they look great. We highly recommend the glare free coating for everyone who wears glasses, especially if you have a strong prescriptions because it helps to keep your eyes looking normal. All together, EVERYONE has a reason for glare free coating.
